Blog #6

Tuesday, 28 May 2013 ~

Oh dear!  I have a "green" puppy!!  Lillie loves to roll and skid on the grass when it has just been cut / mown.

Here's
how she looked
when she came inside!

She amuses us

as she gets a

"guilty"

look.

This is how an irresistible, innocent little Lillie looks -

For those of you who are not a fan of the pinks and mauve colours, I have been restitching my design, "Growing Friendship", using different colours.

The #12 pearl cotton is #642 and the overdyed Silken Pearl thread colour is 'Faded Memories'.  This colour though still does have some pinks and mauve colourings in it.

Not completely finished as yet - border to be completed, large flower to be worked and beads added - but thought you might like to see it.

I never have just one piece of needlework being stitched at one time.

Besides my Mystery Sampler and Growing Friendship in the different colourway, am also stitching 'Rose Motif Sampler' by JBW Designs
to have as a model in the Needlework Gallery.

And - as per usual - I have chosen to change the fabric and thread colours from those suggested and as per the original design.  The thread I have chosen is a silk overdyed by The Thread Gatherer - Sophie's Strawberry.
Shades of pinks through to apricots.  Very pretty and delicate.

However, I intend to finish this piece as a little pillow as per the original.

Must away and do some more stitching!

Bye for now.     Sherelyn
