Maureen began designing in 1974,
providing over 100 copyrighted designs to various needlework companies,
until she formed her own company - The Heart's Content - in 1980.

The signature of Maureen's designs is that all designed pieces
are to be stitched over one linen thread with one strand of thread,
thus authoring her "one-over-one" technique
of transforming needlework into needleart.

The result of this unique method adds dimension, great detail and clarity
to a piece of needlework.

Maureen has now published over 200 designs from Olde Colonial restorations,
re-creations of Colonial Williamsburg homes/buildings,
stylized florals and animals,
English botanicals and samplers (both reproduction and original).

Apart from 16 leaflets -

All designs are ONLY supplied as kits.

Great care is taken in their presentation
and many contain needlework accessories
such as scissors, threadwinders, etc.
