The lovely birds in 'Flights of Fancy' are part
of a large antiqe sampler which was purchased by Judy . 
 
The sampler is Italian and was stitched in the early 1800's
on a 40 count linen with silk threads.
This adaptaion is stitched on a 36 count linen using a variety
of Classic Colorworks and Weeks Dye Works threads. 
DMC equivalents are listed in the booklet.
 
The stitch count is: 144x  x  107h
The finished size is:  8"  x  6"
 
The colours are a lovely combination of aquas, greens and golds.
